IT Project Show 2009: IT-in-Action for People
The IT Project Show is an annual event organised by the Temasek Polytechnic School of Informatics & IT to showcase the Major Projects of its final year students. The event also serves as a platform for the School to seek opportunities with potential industry partners for joint collaboration on product development and commercialisation.
The theme for the IT Project Show 2009 was IT-in-Action for People. More than forty projects were showcased and all of them encompass the paradigm of Informatics, and display how information technology has been put into action to help people solve specific problems and enhance the way we work, learn and play. Many of the projects were also developed in collaboration with our industry partners.
With the Diploma in Cyber & Digital Security, Diploma in Financial Business Informatics and Diploma in Game & Entertainment Technology launched three years ago, it was the first time that students from these diplomas participated in the Project Show. These students, together with the project teams from the Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Interactive Media Informatics and Diploma in Mobile & Wireless Computing, put up a good show, and impressed guests with their many innovative solutions and exciting applications.
