With effect from 1 Oct 2007 we have transformed from the Temasek IT School to the Temasek Informatics & IT School ! This heralds the start of an exciting new chapter in the life and vision of the School and confers on us a unique identity.

Informatics is using IT for People. The strong foundation that we build in IT and the knowledge of domain areas such as financial services, digital media and cyber security, enable our graduates to create solutions that improve lives.

Our new academic structure also gives students a distinctive edge as it enables them to work on real life projects or be attached to Industry for up to a year. This imbues them with both valuable experience as well as sensitivity to the needs of clients.

Besides this, we place priority on nurturing IT Professionals who are able to communicate effectively and work in a team so that they acquire the confidence to engage and interact with diverse people in a global economy.  

Focusing on People, IT and Solutions, we are grooming graduates who will make a difference in the workplace. With an emphasis on understanding people’s needs, a strong foundation in IT and domain areas, our graduates will be able to propose and develop solutions that add value to the lives of people and organisations.

The times ahead are exciting ones and we look forward to working with each of you – staff, students, schools, industry partners and parents to enable our students to be effective in using IT to enrich lives. Together, let us enjoy IT !
