Lightwave 3D is a powerful and full featured 3D modeling and animation program and is used extensively in the broadcast industry and Hollywood. Participants will learn basic 3D model making, animation and rendering techniques through hands-on exercises and case studies.
Course Objectives
The objective of this short course is to provide participants with an overview of the 3D CGI industry and basic knowledge and understanding of 3D imaging and animation and to equip participants with the skills required to create their own 3D work.
Who Should Attend
This course is targeted at multimedia artists, filmmakers, photographers and designers or anyone with an interest in learning 3D modeling and animation.
Pre-requisites
Experience with graphics software is recommended.

Trainer
Mr. Michael Shaw
Mr. Michael Shaw is a lecturer in the Temasek Polytechnic Information Technology School, Interactive Digital Media section specializing in 3D modeling and animation. He has been involved in multimedia design and 3D modeling for the past 12 years. He began experimenting with multimedia technology while studying for a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art and continued with an Adv. Diploma (Electronic Design and Interactive Media) at RMIT. He has designed and produced multimedia used for Architectural, Commercial and educational applications. He has been working in Singapore and Hong Kong for the past 5 years as an Art Director, Usability Consultant and Multimedia Production Manager.
