This course has been designed to produce a new breed of IT specialists who are well versed in network infrastructure and its management and are capable of developing mobile applications and services on top of the infrastructure.

*Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Unified Examination Chinese (UEC) holders must have a minimum of grade 6 for the relevant English Language subject (e.g. Bahasa Inggeris).

Many of our graduates pursue full-time or part-time degree programmes and this is made easier through the advanced standing arrangements that we have with all the local universities and a wide range of foreign universities. Diploma graduates can get between 1-2 years of exemption from local and foreign universities for relevant degree programmes, depending on their academic performance.

As networking is used in every aspect of business, it is anticipated that there will be a high demand from industry for graduates of this programme. On successful completion, you could enter a variety of challenging and rewarding careers such as network administrator/engineer, computer systems & server administrator, wireless systems specialist, associate infrastructure analyst, customer support engineer, IT customer service executive, IT operations specialist, mobile system development specialist.
6. What is so special about this course?
This course starts by introducing various core IT technologies such as web design and networking, and computing techniques such as programming and application development. These will lay the foundation for the IT core competencies. In year two, students will be competent in wired and wireless networking. In year 3, students will be introduced to specific skills required for the management of IT systems (using the IBM Tivoli tools) as well as specified skills required for designing and developing mobile applications such as iPhone/Android platforms that can enhance how businesses operate. You will be able to specialise in either Mobile Solutions or IT Service Management. Opportunities to enhance your understanding of specific business domains are also made available through elective subjects. These subjects address the banking and financial services, trade and logistics, sales and marketing, technopreneurship and other business-related areas.
