Temasek Informatics & IT School became Avaya’s Innovator Partner as a member of the Avaya Developer Connection Programme, following a collaboration agreement signed by TP and Avaya on 8 June 2006. Avaya is a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

Under the Agreement, a Competency Centre will be set up at the  Temasek Informatics & IT School  which will allow students and staff to get hands-on experience in developing intelligent communications applications for enterprises. Students and staff from the Diploma in Mobile and Wireless Computing course will engage in the development of innovative Internet Protocol (IP)-based business communications
applications using Avaya equipment in the Centre. Avaya will provide technical assistance, and testing of their applications to ensure interoperability.

On a larger scale, TP students and staff will be part of a significant network comprising thousands of organisations through the Avaya DeveloperConnection Programme,” said Mr Edmond Khoo, TP’s deputy principal.
