Tommy the Fire Fighter is an online game that our Info Tech students created to educate the public on civil defence. It was specially designed and developed by for the National Day 2006 website. Launched in July, the game received excellent reviews from the public.

Working on a project for National Day was an exceptionally special experience for final year Internet Computing students, Saw Yan Naing and Le Le Qiu.

Commenting on the experience, the liaison office for the project, lecturer Tang Ming Fai, commented that “this involvement provided our students a good opportunity to build online games for the mass public, putting their technical knowledge and game development skills to the test.’

Members of the public enjoyed the game, commenting that it was fun, interesting and engaging !
