The MILK Run is a special event that was organised this year to raise funds to help the following groups of people:
- Youths arrested by the police
- Secondary School dropouts
- Pregnant Teens
- Abused Children
Staff from the Diploma in Internet and Multimedia Development helped with some of the publicity material for the event, while staff and students from the Info Tech School participated in setting up a booth and running at the event.
The MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Run was held on Sunday, 1 July 2007. Gladys Tan Shu Min from the Diploma in Financial Business Informatics had this to say about her experience:
“The milkrun was a wonderful experience, for it gave me (and others) a chance to run for a cause. I often think of running – but never get down to doing it and so I was glad to have an incentive to run. This was perhaps the longest run-cum- walkI had ever participated in and it was definitelyworth the effort. If my taking a few steps can help some children, why not?I hope to continue participating in events such as this so that I can do my little part to help those in need.”
