Lim Yuan Jie, a second year student with the Diploma in Information Technology, and Nur Amalina Bte Zakaria, a graduate of the Diploma in Internet & Multimedia Development, were awarded Medallions of Excellence in the recent WorldSkills Competition held in Calgary, Canada. In addition, Nur Amalina won the Peoples’ Choice Award for Web Design.

WorldSkills (formerly known as the "SkillOlympics") has come to symbolise the pinnacle of excellence in vocational training. Every two years, hundreds of young skilled people, accompanied by their teachers and trainers, gather together from around the world to compete in the skills of their various trades and test themselves against demanding international standards.
