Two senior students, Goh Yun Si Stacy and Genevieve Leng Ker Ching, from the Diploma in Financial Business Informatics, have emerged triumphant in the Singapore Finals of the FedEx/JA International Trade Challenge 2010 held on Saturday, 31 July 2010 where they were challenged to prepare a market entry strategy for a specific product for a specific country.

The competition stresses the elements of teamwork, competition, marketing, promotion and innovation, and requires the students to develop a clearly written international marketing plan for a specific country. The team, ComfyPalms, came up with an idea that specially caters to infants and toddlers in Australia. They created a pillow made of eco-friendly materials that is equipped with a music player that helps to stimulate the baby’s brain.

The team will compete at the Asia Pacific Finals from 22 to 25 August 2010.
