Teo Wai Ming, Steve and Wong Say Jon, both ITO Year 3 students, won the top 2 prizes in the Microsoft WORD 2003 Expert Category!

The Singapore 2005 Microsoft Office Academic Skills Challenge organized by NTUC CertCentral and Microsoft has two categories: Microsoft EXCEL 2003 and Microsoft WORD 2003. In each category, there were two rounds – the Preliminary and the National Finals. The National Finals was held on Thursday, 28 July 2005 at CertCentral.

As the Singapore WORD 2003 Champion, Steve will represent Singapore at the 2005 Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office to be presented by Certiport at Disney's Contemporary Hotel in Disney World, Orlando, Florida in the USA from 12 - 16 August 2005. Apart from Singapore , there are 18 Participating countries including Canada , USA , Austria , France , Germany , Switzerland , Ireland , Italy , UK , Mexico , China , Japan , Taiwan , Thailand , Korea , Malaysia and New Zealand .

Besides Steve and Say Jon, other InfoTech student contestants had performed well coming in among the top 10 positions in either the WORD or the EXCEL category. The results are as follows:
