2008 - Lightdraw

The project was developed by Loke Lup Peng and Situ Jianle from the Diploma in Information Technology.

Large screen displays are more widely used these days. However, they are not user-friendly. Thus, the team developed Lightdraw to offer users a more intuitive and user-friendly interaction with large screen displays. Lightdraw is a revolutionary way of interacting with a computer screen using ordinary light sources or laser pointers.

Lightdraw also enables multiple users to simultaneously interact with any part of the screen from afar, simply by pointing and moving their light sources across the screen. This helps to encourage collaboration and discussion amongst users.

Lightdraw is a collaborative project between Temasek Polytechnic and A*Star Institute of High Performance Computing.
