Wondering how the increase in GST will affect you ? Well, the Ministry of Finance thought it might be useful to explain this and the Government’s GST Offset Budget using an interactive animated clip.

Impressed by a previous project that Temasek Polytechnic’s Info Tech Students had worked on, the Ministry of Finance had contacted the School to commission them to work on an interactive animated clip to educate the public on the GST Offset Budget.

Second Year students, Sin Zhong Han, Gerald Seah, Nur Farhana and Koh Teck Hong, from the Diploma in Internet and Multimedia Development, worked with their lecturers to develop this animated clip.

Starting on the project in the first week of March, the students completed the English edition in early May and will be working hard to complete the versions in Malay, Mandarin and Tamil soon.

Community Centres and other organisations have already started using the CD-Roms of the animated clip to inform the public about the GST Offset Budget. The clip can also be viewed soon on www.gstoffset.gov.sg.
