iMoRE which stands for interactive Media on REquest is a digital media content and services management system that enables users to subscribe and manage a wide range of digital media services such as Digital TV, Web bogging, games, IPTV, etc. through a Media Management Console (MMC). Once a subscription is made to a media service, the service can be managed and its content can be accessed through the MMC and 3G mobile devices easily.
This system acts as a one-stop centre for different media service providers to offer their contents through a central console. Instead of having to use different applications, users only need to interact with one system. This makes managing and manipulating the various services available from the different providers more efficient and convenient. Hence, with iMore, one can subscribe to and view entertainment services like digital TV, digital games, video-on-demand using just one system. It provides convenience and saves time.
iMoRE has the potential to be the central media centre of the digital age. The system can be used to host media services and contents from all over the world and the system operator will act as the middle broker to provide the services to the end users through the system.
Guests were also invited to tour the Major Project exhibits in the specialist laboratories. There, enthusiastic project groups explained and conducted live demonstrations of their Major Projects.
