The project was developed by Nur Camellia, Yusman Bin Yunos and Prem Raj from the Diploma in Internet Computing. Supervised by Mr. Douglas Finnigan, the team developed a simulation application using powerful 3D game engines that allows players to learn Maths and English in a fun and interactive manner.

Players start with an initially empty zoo and gain points that will allow them to build animal enclosures and add animals by answering questions on language and Mathematics. In so doing, they are motivated to learn to answer questions and reward themselves with the creation of their very own zoo!

ZooIQ! was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Canberra Primary School as a new and exciting approach to learning. ZooIQ! is at the forefront of current MOE initiatives in the creation of interactive digital media for schools. As the trend towards digital-media-based education evolves, the skills learned in the development of ZooIQ! will be an important contribution to this new educational development.
